A bunch of the BBC Breakfast team are doing the Great North Run in memory of our wonderful editor, Alison Ford.

If you'll know me, you'll know that I'm not a natural long-distance runner (I'm more like Gimli from Lord of the Rings - dangerous over short distances), but I'm slogging my way through my training plan and know that every drop of sweat, every tear and every tantrum will be worth it in the end.
