Thank you to everyone who attended our afternoon tea in aid of Bloodwise, and a big thank you also to those who could not attend but were generous enough to donate. In total your donations (on line at JustGiving.com and cash on the day) raised £2,150 for the charity.

The weather was perfect for our tea party which was set in the garden. We enjoyed seeing everyone, catching up with friends and family and meeting new people too. A big thank you to everyone who helped us pull together the event and especially those who bought or baked cakes. They were all delicious.

Cancer affects many people and looking around our group there were those who were affected in one way or another either as survivors or family members of a cancer patient. The money raised will go directly to Bloodwise who are working on a daily basis to help beat blood cancer, support people affected by this disease and to raise awareness.

In addition £338 was raised by selling raffles on the day. This money will go directly to the Eleni Pericleous Trust Fund, which is also a supporter of Bloodwise.
