Story

Hi there lovely people, thank you for visiting my page. It means a lot. (Keep coming back as some training videos will be added shortly!)

Especially as the only thing I can do today is sit at my computer. To put it politely my knees are knackered after a 19 mile run yesterday, yes 19 miles. It took me about 2hrs50mins and took me from Canary Wharf past the Tower of London, past embankment past Big Ben and Vauxhall bridge over the river around Battersea Park and back. Feel exhausted just writing about it….

SO why oh why you ask..

For the amazing Charity that is Combat Stress. (Please Click on Read More)

This Charity first came to my attention last year when I had the privilege of working on the film Route Irish:

During rehearsals and filming I met soldiers who had served the British Army, not just in Iraq and Afghanistan but also in Northern Ireland and the Falklands. I was so amazed at how generously they shared their stories with humour and compassion. I heard stories that were incredibly harrowing and difficult to comprehend.

We hear almost daily of the tragic loss of soldiers lives. What we are not made aware of are the 1000’s of soldiers and their families who are suffering the terrible psychological effects of war.

Whether you believe we should have gone to war or not we cannot allow ourselves to forget these people. Men and women that have helped to save lives but are finding it incredibly difficult to save them selves

"Combat Stress takes care of the nation's forgotten heroes: those Veterans whose wounds are not obvious and who suffer terribly in silence, often for years before seeking help.”

If you feel compelled please read Stephens story one of the many Veterans helped by Combat Stress.
