As you may or may not know, my father was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer a year ago in March right after his 50th birthday. Since being diagnosed he has not stopped fighting. He has been inspired by others who are fighting similar diseases and he has inspired us. Being far away and unable to be of daily support to all of our family, this half marathon is a way for Dave and I to show our support and help beat this disease. Beating Bowel Cancer is a fantastic charity which not only helps the person who is fighting the disease but also provides support to all the family members affected.
