For those of you who know me, the fact that i'm 'running' (and I use the term loosely!) this 10K is a feat in itself and actually that should be enough for most of you to part with your hard earned cash.......  but if not, then here's the real story behind why I wanted to do this and what you could contribute towards achieving:

The money raised is to help fund and expand the work that the Tigers Foundation is doing with people young and old, living life with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).  The aim is to ensure we can continue and develop the work already started with SEND schools by bringing a fun and specially adapted rugby activity programme to the SEND schools network within our county.  This activity supports a core principle of the Leicester Tigers Foundation as it also focuses on increasing awareness of the challenges faced by individuals living with SEND.  In doing so we want to bring opportunities to those otherwise excluded from participation and create a pathway for a wider structure of support using sport for enrichment.  

One such opportunity looks at the examples set by the high achieving Tigers wheelchair rugby team, as they lead the way for others to follow and we are keen to introduce a youth wheelchair rugby team to add to the senior squad.

I know we all get asked for so many worthy donations these days, but seeing me run 10K, has got to be worth a quid of anyones money!
