Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

In 2009 John and I lost our second child, Elijah, suddenly after 8 months of an otherwise healthy pregnancy. His heart stopped and a scan revealed he had died. There followed an induced natural birth, leaving hospital without our baby, a funeral then emptiness. You have to live the pain to understand it. No doctor or health visitor called. We received in deepest sympathy cards and flowers and then silence.

SANDS and in particular Maria Viner ( my befriender) held me up and allowed me the time to talk about and share my experience and sadness. I will be forever indebted to their kindness and compassion.

This year marks the 40th year of the charity and I am proud to run this race as one of the 40.

Please donate, every bit helps this charity support families suffering a loss that is beyond words thank you
