Walking the 3 highest peaks in England Wales and Scotland (Scafell Pike, Snowdon & Ben Nevis) over a weekend. I'm doing this challenge with 5 other friends who are fundraising for other worthy causes. The date of the walk is 10-12th June.

Why are you doing it?

In the early stages of my son's life he suffered from a very rare condition called Hypsarythmia. Little information is known about this disorder other than it is a form of epilepsy and although our son (Ben) is currently clear from this unpleasant condition we can never be sure that it won't come back, or return as another epilepsy type.

Epilepsy can be a debilitating and frightening disorder for anyone to have. We found Ben's condition very distressing as parents as we could only watch helplessly as the son we knew and loved disappeared from us for a few minutes at a time. We felt we were powerless to prevent the episodes, we could only hold his hand, comfort him and wait for 'it' to stop.

Raising money for the Epilepsy Society will help fund research into all forms of epilepsy as well as Ben's condition and maybe one day offer a cure.

If climbing some mountains can help contribute to this invaluable research, its got be worth it.
