Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday the 7th September this year, I will be lining up along side 55,999 other runners to take part in the Great North Run half marathon. In doing so, I will be trying to raise as much money as possible for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, (under the Newcastle Healthcare Charity umbrella) who raise funds towards cancer research and cancer care.
Full details of the fantastic work carried out by the foundation is available here http://sirbobbyrobsonfoundation.org.uk/ but the paragraph below, taken direct from their website, will give you an overview as to the importance of their work, and why I want to help them raise vital funds.
The Foundation funds projects within the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that directly benefit cancer patients from across north east England and Cumbria – and which also contribute significantly to international research into the disease.
