We Study populations and migration of Birds to monitor, educate and promote enjoyment

Story

I've been visiting Spurn since the mid 1970's. Its unique and very fragile landscape is much changed over the years due to erosion and flooding, but it has maintained its isolated beauty and its importance as a wildlife observatory, particularly for migrating birds.

The Observatory plays an essential role in the monitoring of birds and other wildlife.  By raising funds for the Observatory it will help in a small way to it being able to continue to undertake its important role.

About the charity

We maintain long term monitoring of bird populations, their distribution and migration on the Spurn peninsula and surrounding area. We manage several areas of land for the benefit of wildlife and provide low cost accommodation for anyone interested in studying the wildlife of the Spurn area.
