Story
Christopher has asked me and several other friends to play diamond cricket with him for several hours to raise money for St George's Hospital Neuro Intensive Care Unit.
We want to thank the team at the Neuro ITU for looking after Christopher's Dad and to raise money for some equipment at the hospital to hopefully save lives in the future.
I would be grateful if you could sponsor me to play diamond cricket on 9 December 2012.
Christopher, his brother, Richard and mother, Ellie are looking to help raise £20,000 for an infra red spectroscopy machine. This is a machine that monitors brain oxygenation and it is hoped that it will help doctors manage a complication known as vasospasm. Vasospasm can cause further brain damage following a spontaneous bleed into the brain and sadly as with Tom is often fatal. It is hoped that this piece of equipment will allow a better outcome for patients who suffer bleeds into the brain.
Please give generously, so that we can help the Neuro ITU unit improve the outcome for other patients who are unfortunate enough to also suffer an unexpected brain haemorrhage.
