Story
Andrew was our blessing, a joy to have around for the 2 years we were privileged to have him with us. Hopefully you can see some of his personality from the photos!
If you are reading this, you probably already know that Andrew died on Christmas Day 2009. We put a happy and healthy little boy to bed on Christmas Eve, only to find he had died when we went to wake him on Christmas morning - he simply fell asleep. We have since discovered that Andrew died from the H1N1 Swine Flu virus, which was particularly shocking as he had no underlying medical conditions and was showing no flu-like symptoms on Christmas Eve. We would urge all parents to take advantage of the current vaccination programme - it IS the only way to prevent this happening to your child.
The care and gentleness we received from the staff at Bristol Children's Hospital was a great comfort to us, and so we have decided to make their charity - "Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal" - our charity of choice for donations in Andrew's memory. Please give generously, and help to prevent other parents from being in the situation in which we find ourselves.
Thanks in advance for your generosity
