Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know, last November I ruptured my tendon in my hand and I have been receiving treatment at the Queen Victoria Hospital (QVH) in East Grinstead

Because they have been so kind, helpful and understanding, I wanted to find a way to say thank you.

One of their chosen charities is the Facial Palsy UK charity. Facial Palsy is where a facial nerve is either non-functioning or missing which causes the muscles in the face to not receive the necessary signals in order to function properly. This results in paralysis of the affected part of the face, which can affect movement of the eye(s) and/or the mouth, as well as other areas.

As you can guess, this is quite a serious physical and emotional illness. Facial Palsy UK helps people deal with both of these effects, as well as help them get on with their day to day lives. For more info, http://www.facialpalsy.org.uk/

So to say thank you, I am running the Brighton Marathon on behalf of this charity to say thank you to QVH.

I’ve never run a Marathon before, Ive never even come close. So please help me say thank you and give me something to run for.
