We enable the creation of marine reserves to reverse the crisis in our oceans

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Those that know me know that I enjoy (or enjoyed) cycling but with time comes gravity challenges, and going from 100kms maybe 3 times a year, to doing 100miles per day, for 6 days, with elevation of over 2000 metres per day....this is not going to be easy!

On day 4, when my legs will be in pieces, we take on the monster of Ventoux - one of the Tour de France's most infamous of climbs. This follows two "Hors Categorie" Mountain Stages the day before.

I think our oceans are one of our planet's greatest gifts, and it is truly tragic that human intervention - both plastic and over fishing - is threatening the existence of fish stocks around the world.  Lack of marine life not only challenges food supplies, it also effects the process of Co2 absorption (healthy oceans can deal with 50% of the world's Co2 emissions), and equally as importantly it will reduce the pleasure our children and grandchildren get from the sea - hearing my two childrens' squeals when they see any type of fish really says it all!

Please donate so we can protect the marine life, our oceans in the future, and our planet.
