Great South Run completed. Brilliant atmosphere and will definitely do again next year. Completed time 1:10:32. Thank you to everyone who sponsored me.
The last time I ran was 1986; Sports Aid, Run the World. I remember it well, running the first 200 meters, walking the majority and a last minute dash to the pub!
Through peer pressure at work, I have entered the Great South Run, 10 miles. Sunday 28th October.
Well, I thought if I’m going to do it I may as well do it properly. I’ve been training hard in order to get some kind of respectable time.
All this effort is also for a bloody good cause, Keech Hospice Care.
The Hospice provides emotional and practical support for adults and children diagnosed with a life-limiting condition. Our aim is to help patients enjoy the highest quality of life, while also providing vital support for their family and friends.
All of the charity's services are offered free of charge, every single day of the year. This is all made possible because of the generous support of the local community.
Any donation would be warmly received.
