Welcome to my JustGiving page for Carers in Hertfordshire - now updated, with me having completed the walk and returned from Scotland - remarkably with no blisters.

I can confirm that Milngavie to Fort William is achievable 'comfortably' when spread over 7 days' walking.

It's not until one is returning from Fort William by train (it takes almost 4 hours to Glasgow Queen Street) that it sinks in what a long way it really is!

Incidentally, it is a beautiful train ride as well.

Anyway, to those of you who have waited until I could demonstrate that the West Highland Way could be tamed....I offer my encouragement to donate now!!

To those of you that have already donated - a huge THANK YOU - I have been really touched by everyone's generosity.

If you haven't already done so, please visit the Carers in Hertfordshire website from the link on this page and also link to my Brain Research Trust JustGiving page from my recent email to you.

I hope that you visit both charities' JustGiving pages.

As promised, I have uploaded a bunch of photos taken over the past week and a bit. I hope you get some of the flavour of the trip. It was no picnic but it was a very special experience in a dramatic landscape that changed character virtually within every hour of walking - and the entire week spent in great company too!
