Story

I will be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon as part of a team raising money for an excellent cause - the Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team.

We are a group of people raising money to thank Glencoe Mountain rescue for their efforts to rescue our friends and to help support their work in helping others.

A group of our friends were involved in the Glencoe Avalanche on 19th January 2013 and despite the heroic afforts of rescuers the world said goodbye to some amazing enthusiastic, motivated and well loved people.

Thanks to the efforts of Glencoe, one member of the team was rescued and continues to make an impressive recovery.

Inspired my the motivation and love for 'organised fun' of our dear firends, we are embarking on three ambitious events in a 'Triathlon of events'

These are:

The Edinburgh Half marathon 26th May 2013

The Great North Swim (1 and 2 mile events) 16th June 2013

and the Cyclone Cycle event 29th June 2013.

Team members are taking part in different combinations of events and some in all three in order to carry on in the spirits of our friends and to raise money for The Glencoe Mountain Rescue team.
