My challenge to you is to contribute only £ 7.21 (or more, of course).
Read on to find out why.
Mountain Gorillas have no way of raising awareness of their plight for survival.
To support this on-going voiceless effort, you know what to do. I am targetting £720: this equates to a minimum of £1 per remaining Mountain Gorilla in the wild (plus the £1 for the not-yet-born baby gorilla).
It is times of financial pinch that we tend to forget our closest relatives (speaking of genes, of course). They don't have a voice. They don't have inheritances to fall back on. They have no way of standing up for their rights. They have no way of raising funds.
If the Mountain Gorillas could speak (words, that is), then I know exactly what they would be asking for. I am sure you would agree.
The picture is of the Silverback, Amahoro (KiRwandan for 'Peace,' no less): He is the Alpha male of his troop of highly endangered (Rwandan) Mountain Gorilla that I was fortunate to visit and observe in the Volcanic National Park on 29 December 2006.
