UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE! 19/09/2011

Mission Complete!!!!

Well sort of...

Claire and I finally got to fly (or was it fall?) for 45 seconds at 120mph from 14,000 ft above sunny (eventually) Lancaster before the parachute deployed and i was slowed down to a more managable speed dangling from a bit of fabric and string still thousands of feet above the ground.  The instructor, not content with a free fall decided that we should go into a spin speeding us up dramatically, yet again!! with the added dizziness and queezy feeling thrown in for free... but as much as that sounds like i hated it the experience was fantastic and something i will remember for ever and it is also something i can tick off the list! I would recommend it to anyone really well almost, as it is hard to describe the true feeling it is something that must be done to appreciate.  Have i overcome my fear of hights - No! Have I faced my fear - Probably! Did we raise a lot of money - Yes!

Unfortunately, i have failed in my attempt to raise an ambitious £1000 however, between Claire and myself we should have raised approximately £1500 which is great (The majority of which was raised by Claire)  I would really like to thank everyone that have been kind enough to sponser me it is greatly appreciated by both me and the Dental Hospital.

If you haven't sponsored me already i don't think it is too late donate now!!

Once again thank you so much for your support.

Pictures and video will soon be uploaded!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lot's of great work has been taking place at the Dental Hospital in Manchester over the last year with many improvements to facilities within the paediatric department.  Much of this work has been funded through charities money without which i'm sure this could not have been realised.  We would like to continue with these improvements which makes the experience of visiting the dental hospital much more pleasant.  Therefore, On 17th September 2011 to help raise  more funds i have decided to join my colleague in jumping out of a perfectly good plane!!!  Yes, I will be doing a Sky Dive to raise money for the Manchester University Dental Hospital Charity......

and... if Jumping out of a plane isn't terrifying enough particularly when you can't even climb a set of ladders much beyond 5 rungs without freezing & getting nausious! my colleague wanted to spice things up by turning it into a competition between management and consultants to see who can raise the most money.  The winner will get to push the other out of the plane!!! GULP!

Please take pitty and support me so i can be the one who gets to do the pushing!  However, if you want me to be the one who is pushed then please still make the donation and leave a comment saying 'pushed' I will deduct your contribution from the total raised.

I will post pictures of the event once completed.
