We provide information, help and support to sufferers of Pernicious Anaemia (PA) including their families and friends. Our Mission: To secure a full and comprehensive review of the way in which Pernicious Anaemia is diagnosed and treated that will lead to more timely diagnoses and better treatment

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My wife Sarah was diagnosed with Pernicious Anaemia 6 years ago. Since then we've got married, had 2 children, and taken on a rescue dog. It's been a busy time but despite receiving quarterly B12 injections, Sarah's health deteriorated resulting in a serious anxiety/panic disorder which meant she had to give up work.

We found out about the Pernicious Anaemia Society in December 2011 and Sarah is now volunteering with them to help in anyway she can. We both feel that her anxiety disorder, along with the anti depressants she relies on, could have been avoided as we think Pernicious Anaemia is the cause of the problems she's faced.

Which is why I'm raising money for the Pernicious Anaemia Society. Changes need to be made to the diagnosis and treament of PA so that other people going through similar problems as Sarah, or worse, can get the treatment they need.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
