Story

Hello all,

As you might know (from my constant harping on about it) it was the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 14 April. Initially overcast and a bit rainy, before brightening up and eventually turning into one of the nicest days of the year. Luckily, by the time it got really hot, I'd finished!

So you might remember I did it in 3.42 last year (3.47 the year before and 4.12 in the first year of it when, in my defence, I only had eight weeks of training..... ANYWAY) and this year was aiming for sub 3.30. I just about managed that - finished in 3.03.09 (not a typo), coming in 107th out of 9067. So pretty happy with that all told!

You'll notice there's slightly less action shots than previous years (ie none) due to the main photographer Linda having her hands full lugging round a four-month old baby (which you'll see the evidence for). Still, she did manage to get a few and they were both there to cheer me on, so well done!

I know I've been pretty relentless with the sponsorship this year but please bear with me one last time - Whoopsadaisy are a Brighton-based charity who work with children who have cerebral palsy and other motor disorders. They work with children to help them develop more independence and build their abilities and skills to help them tackle everyday life – you can find out more here: http://www.whoopsadaisy.org/

Thanks a million to those of you that have sponsored me - oh, and see you next year for the sub-3-hour challenge..... not really.
