Andrew's Kilimanjaro Climb page

Kilimanjaro Climb · 20 June 2014
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In June of 2014 I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa and the tallest free standing mountain in the world! This is to help raise money for the charity Moving Mountains in Kenya. I will be working alongside 30 other students at the University of Leeds who are members of Leeds RAG (Raise and Give) to allow the charity to work in partnership with schools, orphanages, clinics, rescue centres for street children, family support centres, community centres, sports programmes, young people and their families each year through their education and social welfare programmes. Moving Mountains will recieve £1225 of donations directly with the other £1075 going towards paying park fees for our trek. Please visit http://www.movingmountainstrust.com/ for more information.
Out of the 15 day long expedition, 5 days will be spent in Kenya with the Moving Mountains charity while the other 10 will be spent trekking up the gruelling 19,341ft of Tanzanian mountain. I have recently visited Africa, travelling to Botswana and Zambia last summer, but have been captivated by the place wanting to return. This expedition will allow me to aim for what would be a life long achievement that will also help to bring better quality of living to those native to the area.
