<p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">UPDATE: FINISHED! I crossed the line, sore and sunburnt, in just over 4 hours 32 minutes, which, given the temperature and the amount of sleep I have had since Ben was born, I can't really complain about. Only 14 minutes slower than last year.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">I have sent a link to this page to just over 4000 people, and my thanks to those of you who have </span></strong><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">already </span></strong><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">been kind enough to support Off The Fence.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Possibly of course</span></strong><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;"> you are sick of being asked to sponsor people for charity events, and I can understand that - it all adds up.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Off The Fence is a wonderful organisation who do amazing work with the most vulnerable people in our society, and all entirely funded by the generosity of people like you. So please, if you can afford it, please make a small donation - even if it's £1, that will help me get to my target.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Last year I asked 3000 people to donate and around 50 did so. If you were one of them THANK YOU - please don't feel obliged to give anything this year.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;">Just so as you know, and to be completely transparent, my godfather also died a couple of years ago from the terrible motor-neurone disease and so any cash donations I receive will be sent to the Motor Neurone Disease research charity, but all donations through this website go direct to Off The Fence (and not to me!).</span></strong></p>
