The feeling of acheiveing this great challenge makes me very proud to have represented the Dystonia charity. The atmosphere on the streets of London when running along the route was fantastic and the crowds were so supportive and pushing me every step of the 26.2 miles. It was the most amazing day and fantastic experience that I will never forget. Would recommend everyone should run the London Marathon once in their lifetime. Have learned a lot over the last 6months with my training / running and have made a lot of new friends along the way. Think I will try the Brighton Marathon next year.</p> <p>Dystonia Society who I am rasing sponsorship and awareness is very close to my heart as I know people close who live everyday suffering with this neurological movement disorder.</p> <p>Dystonia causes uncontrollable and painful muscle spasms. It is estimated to affect 70,000 people in the UK include 8,000 children.</p> <p>The Dystonia Society is the only UK wide charity providing support for people living with dystonia - a debilitating neurological movement disorder that can affect people at any stage in their life.
