On 21st November 2010, God took Samantha Arrowsmith, aged 38, after her long battle with cancer. She was a beautiful, warm and loving person, a wonderful wife, doting Mum, caring daughter and sister and is much loved and missed by everyone who were blessed to know her.

Sami was a true fighter and battled cancer for 8 years. She received her treatment at the Oxford Radcliffe hospital under the care of Professor Middleton and his team in the Melanoma Department, where she went through a series of drug trials. It was Sami's belief that if it were not for the treatment, love and care shown by the Oxford Team, her battle with this terrible disease would have been over long before.

In memory of Sami's fighting spirit, incomparable bravery and her utmost appreciation for the care she received at Oxford, our hope is to raise as much money as possible for the Oxford Radcliffe Charitable Fund (specifically for research into Melanoma) by walking 100 miles from Sami's workplace, Halsall Electrical in Cannock, Staffs to the Oxford Radcliffe, starting on Thursday 14th April and finishing on Monday 18th April 2011, Sami's birthday.
