Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Towards the end of 2010 I found out that I had a brain tumour. Before Christmas, I was operated on and a piece of brain the size of a plum (a big juicy plum, not a little one) was removed. A lab analysis revealed it to be a low grade glioma.
Unfortunately, before my operation I spent £89.99 on a new pair of running shoes. Now I hardly want to waste this investment, so I have signed up for a trail ultra run to take place on a 51.5km loop in Wiltshire on September 10th, 2011.
I am running on behalf of a charity called Astro Fund, who raise money to fund research to find a cure for low grade gliomas. The charity also provide support for those living with brain tumours and help raise awareness of the terrible disease.
