Well I told the old man before he passed away 3 years ago, that I'd run one. So here I am! I am 40 this year so it's all come together quite nicely. I have run several half marathons and lots of 10Ks but never ran any further than that.

My training plan starts in earnest at the beginning of December but I am doing a couple of runs a week at the moment. I suppose I never considered the fact that all the training has to be done during the winter when it's dark and cold and wet. Doh!
