Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the London Marathon on the 22nd of April 2012 to raise money for St Barnabas Hospice. St Barnabas has been a huge help with the care of my brother in law "JON" and support of the family especially over the last 6 weeks. Jon was diagnosed with cancer over 3 years ago, since then he has fought the disease with a smile and not a moan or groan. On the 22nd March his fight ended and he re-joined my sister Mand, his beautiful wife after being apart for 15 months. When I got my place in the marathon in October I wanted this to be the charity I ran for and I knew Mand would have wanted me to run it for Jon and for St Barnabas. Jon was a man mountain and the perfect gent, he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
