At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be descending the height of Mt Everest 8848m on my downhill bike to help raise awareness and hopefully some dough for Alzheimer's. My dear granny suffered from dementia & Alzheimers in her later years before passing away this time last year, its such a degenerating illness to have & knowing that nothing can really be done to slow down the onslaught is heartbreaking.

Using the chairlift service in Tigne's, I will need to do 18 laps of the dh trail in order  to get the vertical descent nessesary. It's no easy feat & I'll be training as much as I can in preparation for this challenge.

If you could spare a penny, a pound or even ten pound, I will be forever grateful and send huge hugs and smiles your way.
