mso-themecolor: text2;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Every learner at the School & College is blind or severely visually impaired, however around 95% have additional disabilities and complex needs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This sounds sad but the truth is that this school & college is full of high achievers.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Learners are determined and positive, there is a ‘can do’ attitude here and everyone involved strives to maximise each learner’s full potential.</span></span></span></strong></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: #1f497d; mso-themecolor: text2;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The West Of England School is a non-maintained specialist education provider, this basically means that although the basic education needs of each learner is covered by local authorities, this falls well short of what is required to create a stimulating living and learning environment.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Specialist equipment, activities and independent living skills are essential to the personal development of our young people.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>These areas are almost totally reliant on charity fundraising events and donations.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></span></strong></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: #1f497d;
