Galliford Try are doing a non-stop Lands End to John O Groats Cycle relay starting on 11th June . We have 14 Teams comprising of around 80 riders doing a nonstop relay of 981 miles and are trying to raise £50,000 for Cancer Research.

I think we have been given the short straw as our route is 55 miles and climbing 4000 feet as we are riding as a Team of 6 in the second leg starting at Fowey to Polruan Quay, Looe, Liskeard, Tavistock, Gunnislake, Princetown, Two bridges, Moretonmampstead. Out of the 6 of us we have two riders in their 20’s so hopefully they will shelter the older riders from any on coming wind. They think we can do it in four and a half hours. I’m beginning to think I’m getting to old for this !

We have a support support vehicle with refreshments , spares etc . It is being very well organised and has raised a lot of interest within the company. Our Office ( next door to Midas Construction at Decoy) are arranging a ‘bake off’ event and we are all trying to raise individual donations as per the just giving link below. We even have a Team photo shoot planed with us all on bikes and in lycra at various points on the Kerswell by pass !
