Story
Hi,
Thank you for visiting my Sheffield Half Marathon Just Giving page in support of the Sheffield Scanner.
On 8 April 2018 I’ll be taking part in the Run for All Sheffield Half Marathon as part of the University of Sheffield team. We’re raising funds for the University’s £2 million campaign to bring an MRI-PET scanning facility to Sheffield, the first of its kind in Yorkshire.
More information about the Sheffield Scanner can be found at www.sheffield.ac.uk/sheffieldscanner
The University has taken on a huge role in raising funds for this campaign and I am proud to work for an organisation that is rooted in it's community.
Anyone who knows me, knows I can run. I have completed half marathons and marathons in the past. I am also (recently) a father. The idea of helping to provide a device that can ease the pain and hurt suffered by children and their parents is a huge motivation for me to complete the race, but as importantly, to raise as much as I can in aid of those whose lives have been turned upside down by illness. The link below has more information about the whole project.
This is something I CAN do, and will do, to help.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and consider donating to the Scanner appeal.
