Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 23rd of December 2017 a brave young man named Alex McCarthy died aged 13 from terminal brain cancer. Son to an amazing mother Rebecca who has tirelessly raced all over the county to raise funds for clic sergent. This fearless boy beat cancer once, but it returned even more aggressively and was told he had months to live. Since that time he went on an epic bucket list campaign to fulfil his dreams. His step father Steve has set himself a challenge of running 12 Marathons in 12 months to raise for clic sergent. I’ve set myself the challenge of running my 3rd marathon alongside Steve on the 23rd of September. All donations would be gratefully received to support a great charity doing great work supporting families of children suffering from cancer. For example clic Sargent have recently campaigned and got the Scottish government to abolish funeral fees for children under 16. Every day 11 families are told their child has cancer. CLIC Sargent is the only organisation to offer them all round care and support. Visit www.clicsargent.org.uk to find out more.
