I'm taking part in the British Gas Swims Britain One-mile Open Water swim at Dorney Lake, near Windsor, on 30th June. I did my first Open Water swim last year in Royal Victoria Docks and I'm hoping the water will be less smelly this time - I also hope I won't get smacked in the head during the start, unlike last time.

I'm also raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, a charity that needs no introduction for the great work it does treating sick children.
