In memory of Andrew Havercroft

Story

Andrew touched the lives of many people in his 67 years. His dry and eloquent humour was appreciated by a wide community of friends across the globe.

Andrew had been suffering from kidney failure for several years. When he finally had his transplant at Hammersmith Hospital in 2013 his life was changed overnight. Freed from the restrictions of four dialysis sessions per week he had been given a new lease of life.

If Andrew touched your life you may wish to consider making a donation in his memory to a charity that gave him support and was one that he, in turn, also supported.

The West London Kidney Patients' Association do much needed work to support patients and their families through these traumatic times. Their work complements the world class specialists at the Hammersmith Hospital Renal Unit and together they are making big differences to the lives of many sufferers of kidney disease and their families.

About the charity

The WLKPA provides information, support and assistance to kidney patients and their families under the care of the Hammersmith hospital renal unit and its satellite dialysis units. Money raised also goes towards providing medical equipment and services.
