Around 10 months ago I decided to take on the significant challenge that is La Marmotte.  Although this may be the onset of my mid-life crisis, I am hoping to gain a real sense of achievement, assuming of course that I can complete it.

Although the main goal is personal, I also thought this challenge was a good opportunity to raise money for charity and achieve some broader out of it.  So 9 months ago I committed to someone who works part time for a charity (but full time for a pension fund) that I would raise money for their charity, New Ways. 

New Ways strive to promote human development in the poorest and most neglected parts of the world by supporting projects (mostly, health, education, agriculture and water resources) that enable local communities to take responsibility for their own lives. New Ways work predominantly in Northern Kenya. Their primary project is covering the running cost of 22 Nutritional Nursery schools (feeding 1,600 children).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure and they make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, so please give generously.
