I'm running this years Eden Project marathon in aid of the National Search and Rescue Dog Association (NSARDA).

NSARDA is worthy charity that's very close to my heart. It's not one of the better known charities so this is a good opportunity for me raise awareness. The dog handlers who work for NSARDA give their time freely to train and search for missing people, as do the dogs!  

Search Dogs are used to search for missing Hill walkers or climbers, or increasingly persons missing from home, elderly and confused persons, also missing children, and victims of crime. All handlers are trained in the protection of crime scenes. NSARDA can work along with Mountain Rescue or directly for the Police.
