<p class="iphone-update">Hello,</p> <p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving.com page.</p> <p><strong>What am I doing and why am I doing it?</strong></p> <p>It's quite simple. I am taking part in a Christmas Day swim off Lisfannon Beach (Co. Donegal) on Christmas morning 2011... it's going to be cold!!!!!</p> <p>The reason I am doing it is because someone very close to me was diagnosed with ME almost 30 years ago. I know all to well how ME can impact upon the life of the sufferer, their family and their friends.</p> <p>The person I am doing this for has had to endure a life of hardship and in the last 18 months they were forced to leave a profession that they absolutely adored.</p> <p>I hope that the money I raise will help others with ME, raise awareness of the condition and hopefully go towards helping to find a cure someday.</p> <p>Thanks again and as much as it pains me to say it...
