At 5 inpatient bedrooms, the Bury Hospice inpatient unit is the smallest in the UK. Bury Hospice are trying to raise the money to build a new state-of-the-art 12-bedded Hospice and need almost £4.5 million to do so.
Their fundraising has gone well and they are now down to the last £500k and so I've decided to do my bit. The Nokia Coast to Coast is a two-day cycling, running and kayaking challenge from Nairn on the east coast of Scotland to Loch Leven on the west coast. In total I will have to run 21 miles, cycle 81 miles and kayak 3 miles with a total ascent and descent of nearly 10,000ft.
