For over 25 years the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation has been fund raising and increasing awareness to help save the Tiger, Elephant, Rhino and many other critically endangered mammals. In 2010 more than 330 Rhino were slaughtered in South Africa alone for their horn!
2011 marks David's 80th birthday and as such I want to take on the challenge of helping make it a successful by raising some money for this great family run charity, who passionately care about the wildlife and the people http://www.davidshepherd.org/ The wildlife of our planet needs our help, so please take the time to peruse the great work the DSWF does.
The theme of my challenge will be based on 80... I will complete 80,000 metres in under 8 hours. I will start with the Brighton 1/2 marathon and after 2 more events finish with a 32km run / cycle / run in a race called Mud Man!
In August I will visiting two of their project in Zambia and Zimbabwe http://www.davidshepherd.org/projects/ to help develop the local education projects. Please feel free to follow my journey at www.silentwildlife.com and purchase any photos, with all money going to help reach my target.
Thank you very much for your help and support.
