Story
In March 2013 I will be joining a group of people trekking to Everest Base Camp in order to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support. This will be a huge physical challenge involving over 2 weeks of walking, sleeping at temperatures around -15 C and climbing up to an altitude of 5545m and . At this height, oxygen is only half that available at sea level and so it is inevitable that I will experience some (hopefully not too many) of the symptoms of altitude sickness.
Please sponsor me and help me to exceed my fundraising target. Donating through this site is most efficient way to sponsor me - the money is sent directly to Macmillan Cancer Support and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 20% will be added to your donation at no extra cost to you. So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks for your generosity. It is very much appreciated by me, by Macmillan, and especially by those who will benefit from the support your donation will provide.
