UPDATE - FEB 2007

Please note: My first fundraising event of 2007 is now booked. I will be hosting a Quiz Night on Saturday 31st March at the Community Centre in Great Chesterford starting at 7:30pm. In October 2007 I will be setting out on a 80km trek across the Great Rift Valley in Africa. I will be raising money for ActionAid, a charity I have supported for many years through their child sponsorship scheme. I am aiming to raise a minimum of £3000 in sponsorhip for the trip so really appreciate every penny you can contribute.

Here are a few bits from the ActionAid website that may give you an idea of where you're money goes - as you can see, every pound really does make a difference.

£7 could buy the books a child in Ethiopia needs to start school.
£10 could buy hoes, buckets and a seed pack for a family in Zimbabwe to grown their own food.
£15 could train two local people in basic healthcare in Mozambique.
£20 could send a child to school for two years in Rwanda.
£42 could provide six people with safe, clean water in Mozambique.
