Story
I made it! It was a really fun day. The sun was shining and our nylon costumes were clinging. My knee held out and I didn't embarrass myself too much. Well, just a bit...
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Another dash! This time I am Wally from the world famous Walker Book; Where's Wally? As part of Walker Books 30th Anniversary fundraising challenge I will be taking part in the Superheroes 5k dash in Greenwich park. The money raised will be going to the National Literary Trust. A very worthwhile charity helping improve literacy across the UK.
The only slight glitch with this race for me is a major knee injury. So, unlike my last Santa Dash where I came 4th (yes, I know, I was quite pleased with myself), this time, as if to crush my smugness, I will probably be jogging with large intervals of walking even perhaps a touch of hopping. This could make for an entertaining race for spectators.
Any donation is welcome and you will of course be rewarded with photos and a report of the event.
Thanks so much,
Andrew aka Wally
