Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am taking part in my first run on 19th November, and would like your help in raising money for The Scoliosis Association UK (SA(UK)). Scoliosis is a twisting of the spine. My fiancée's sister Charlotte will soon have to undergo life changing surgery because she suffers from Scoliosis, and I hadn't even heard of the condition. SA(UK) campaign for increased awareness of the condition and provide valuable information. For more information see www.sauk.org.uk
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you,
Andy
UPDATE:
OK, I have now completed the run! My first 10k took 53m49s off the top of my head. And I'm pretty much signed up for the Regency Run and Two Castles runs next year as well!
A big thank you to everyone that has donated. I have raised a similar amount offline as well, and my Step-Dad to be has raised a lot with his colleagues, also for SA(UK), as he also took part in the run. Amazingly, we crossed the line together in a photo finish!
I owe another big thank you to Darren Dhesi as he has trained me from never running unless it's life threatening, to doing this, so thanks for your time and support Daz.
Final update, SA(UK) have been very suportive and appreciative, and even sent us several bright orange T-shirts which we wore on the day.
