Story

Hi, Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

On 27th May, I'll be lacing on my trainers and attempting to run 26 miles 385 yards around the streets of Edinburgh. I know it's going to be a huge challenge. Last summer I ran a 10K race with a good friend, Sam, and it was agony! I'm running for two reasons.

Firstly, to encourage good and generous people like you to sponsor me and help me to raise money for the work of Christian Aid. This charity does vital work supporting the world's poorest people through a network of grass-roots partner organisations who can use the money we give appropriately and well. Despite the name, it is not a charity that only supports Christians; neither is it a charity that tries to proselytise those it supports. By sponsoring me to make my legs ache a lot, you'll be making a significant difference to some of the world's poorest people.

Secondly, I am running in memory of Liz Trevor. Liz was a member of the congregation at Linton Church (my previous post as a Vicar). Liz sadly died of cancer last summer. She was an inspiration to many and a tireless campaigner for Christian Aid. I'd like to remember her by making a life-changing amount of money for Christian Aid.

If you can support me with any sort of donation that would be fabulous.

Many thanks.

Andy
