Andrew Cox was an honest, funny, big-hearted man with an amazing passion for life, and he was unfaltering in his dedication to fairness and justice.
He spent most of his life in Somerset close to his large and loving family, though he had friends all over the UK and the world, and was widely respected.
His ability to defuse any situation with both humour and integrity, even when dealing with those he opposed, was simply amazing.
He was involved in an array of just causes, including anti-racism and anti-fascism, and his compassion for wildlife was extraordinary. He tirelessly campaigned against cruel sports and was also very active in stopping the culling of badgers both in England and Wales.
