Bike to Berlin · 19 March 2012
This March I am taking part in a long distance cycle ride to Berlin as part of the University of Leeds RAG Bike to Berlin challenge. Given the fact that I only finally learnt to ride a bike about 2 years ago, and my generally unimpressive cycling history (including such memorable moments as falling off a tricycle), this is probably going to be interesting.
A group of about 40 of us will be setting out from Leeds on the 19th of March to commence the 550 odd mile ride over an 8 day period, Heading first to Hull, an arduous ferry crossing to Rotterdam, and then on to Berlin, hopefully arriving under the Brandenburg Gate on the 26th.
As a group we will be raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, who invest in research and provide support for those affected by the neurological condition.
Any pennies you can spare are greatly appreciated. The more pennies you donate the more photos of me it glorious padded cycling shorts will be available! Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can generously provide.
