Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

*** UPDATE - Well, I made it round, and as you can see from the photo, in less than four hours too. So I'm absolutely delighted with that. Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far and helped me reach my fundraising target as well - brilliant! ***

I'm running my first marathon in October, and have decided to try to raise some money for a charity called Changing Faces.  Having been born with a very minor facial disfigurement myself (a cleft lip, not that most people notice nowadays) I really believe in the importance of the work they do to provide support to and raise awareness for people living with disfigurement.  It's not especially glamorous or high-profile stuff, but all the more reason to give it some support.  So I am training hard...  Targets?  In my dreams, under 4 hours; in the much more plausible reality, under 5 - having not done more than a half marathon before, I am expecting the last few miles to hurt a lot!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
