At Macmillan, we will move mountains to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to do something silly for charity - cycling 1,100,000 metres or 1,100km (thats more than from London to Prague!) in 1 month (I'll need to average over 35km a day!) to raise £1,100.

Why? Two years ago I was diagnosed with an aggressive testicular tumour. The NHS were incredible and managed to operate within days which prevented the cancer spreading.

Afterwards I had chemo and am now on a 5 year plan with scans and checkups to check it hasn't returned.

Macmillan Nurses have helped me post surgery and they do an excellent job. I know I'm one of the lucky ones, so I want to do something that will help others battling this horrible disease.

The company i work for, telent, has decided to support Macmillan as its corporate charity, and is doing a company wide "1100" challenge in July (1100 km in a week by as many employees as possible) with an aim to raise £100,000. I want to be part of that challenge, but also push myself further and make a decent contribution to this overall total.

I am planning to cycle 1,100 km in one month and finish my challenge with the rest of company on the 15th July in Warwick. hopefully starting one month earlier means I can cover as much ground and raise as much money as possible.

Please help me reach my target and support this excellent charity.
