Keep the Dreads · 15 February 2014

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

I have had dreadlocks for 5 years and haven't had a full hair cut for about 8 years. I have found a lot of people are intrigued by dreadlocks, a lot of people love them and just as many hate them. Nearly all of these people still ask the same question: "What happens if you decide you don't want them anymore?" The quick answer is: Shave them off. This is where this page comes in...

I have decided to put the fate of my dreadlocks in your hands and let you decide whether I keep my dreadlocks or shave them off.

I have set up two team pages, one called Keep the Dreads and one called Shave the Dreads. If you would like me to keep my dreadlocks for atleast another year, all you need to do is select the Keep the Dreads page and donate you're chosen amount. If you would like me to shave off my dreadlocks in February, select the Shave the Dreads page and, similarly, donate you're chosen amount. All donations are going towards Cancer Research UK.

The page which receives the most donations by February 15th will be the action that will go ahead.

I am also collecting in person at the school I work at, I will post updates on the money raised to each page as and when I can. If you would prefer to make a donation in person, please let me know.

Many thanks for all your support and kindness.
