Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am raising money for the Friends of MedicMalawi, and the reasons are set out below.
After hearing that the orphanage that the charity supports in Malawi can only afford to feed their 52 kids once each day, I felt I had to do something to help. So, on Friday 13th August I am cycling from Telford to Edinburgh and back, leaving at 5.30 am and returning, hopefully, by 7pm on the Sunday evening, 15th August. 50 hours is the target, of actual cycling, but hopefully it will only take around 36 hours... around 165 miles each day! I have been training on my racer and am up to 70 miles with out too much trouble.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. I rarely ask anyone for sponsorship money and feel that this is something everyone, especially those with kids, can support. I am prepared to take the pain in order to raise loads of cash. In addition, Barclays Bank have agreed to match my sponsorship pound for pound, so please give as much as you feel able to, and thanks very much in advance.
